Nylon will stretch by about 20% at 50% of its breaking load, compared with 12% stretch for Polyester at equivalent loads. This high elongation makes 3 Strand Nylon a good choice for anchoring and mooring needs.
This rope will shrink when it gets wet.If you are planning to use 3 strand nylon outside you may wish to order an additional 10-15% to allow for shrinkage.
